Biography
About NAJP
NAJP creates Bitcoin art by transforming real U.S. dollars into paintings, collages, and other hand-built works. Based in Switzerland, the artist uses fiat currency itself as a primary material, combining it with paint, gold leaf, and graphic composition to contrast Bitcoin with conventional money.
His practice is strongly tied to proof of work and physical making. NAJP has described the use of real banknotes as central to the work, with each piece built by hand rather than treated as a purely printed image. Some series use repeated dollar fragments and circuit-like forms, while others incorporate direct slogans and Bitcoin references into altered currency.
The work has been exhibited at Bitcoin events in Switzerland, France, Portugal, Ireland, and Latvia, and NAJP was included in the Bitcoin Atlantis Art Gallery in Madeira. In 2025, he also created the Bitcoin Award for the Swiss Bitcoin Conference. Collaborations have extended the same approach into other physical formats, including a limited beer-can project with Bitcoin Only Brewery using dollar imagery and gold-leaf variants.
