About MrHANSEL

MrHansel has been making Bitcoin art since 2015, developing a physical practice around mixed-media collage, acrylic painting, framed prints, and handmade display pieces. Based in Bristol, UK, he is closely associated with early Pepe culture and has carried that imagery into tangible works built from canvas, card stock, ink, paint, maps, wood, and other assembled materials.

His physical works often revisit images from his earlier Pepe practice. "BERLINPEPE" is a one-of-one mixed-media work made with box canvas, acrylic paint, artist card stock, ink, and an old map of Berlin. The piece references both the city’s Ampelmännchen crossing figure and Room 77, an early Berlin bar known for accepting Bitcoin.

Other works include the framed "PEPEOLD" triptych, acrylic glass prints such as "KEKOGGS" and "DOUBLEPEPE," and the mixed-media collage "MicKEKy Mouse," constructed from canvas board, card stock, acrylic, and wood. Across these works, MrHansel combines vintage imagery, meme culture, humor, and hand-built materials in a practice that connects early Bitcoin culture with collectible physical art.
