About Ksenia Buridanova
Ksenia Buridanova creates Bitcoin art in oil, combining classical painting methods with contemporary meme culture and magical realism. Trained at the Grekov Art College and the Glazunov Academy of Painting, she spent years studying Old Master approaches to light, form, and material. Her paintings are executed on linen, canvas, and wood panel, with a strong emphasis on traditional oil technique.
Meme imagery has become central to Buridanova’s recent work. Paintings such as "Pepeordinatus," "Pepeus Flamel," "Kekius Maximus," and "Mysteria Memetica" place familiar internet figures within compositions informed by historical painting, mythology, and ceremonial imagery. "Pepeordinatus," completed in 2024, is an oil painting on canvas measuring 95 × 95 cm and was presented through the Bitcoin 2024 Art Gallery in Nashville.
Buridanova has exhibited at Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville, Bitcoin 2024 Amsterdam, and Bitcoin 2025 in Las Vegas. In 2026, BMAG presented her solo exhibition "Mysteria Memetica" in Nashville, centered on her oil paintings and their relationship to contemporary meme culture. Across these works, classical painting remains the foundation of a practice that brings historical technique into direct contact with Bitcoin-era visual culture.
