About Rebel Money

Rebel Money creates Bitcoin art across canvas painting, currency-based mixed media, layered assemblage, print, and sculpture. Real bills, coins, ink, paint, metal, resin, electronics, and other materials are used to examine money, sovereignty, privacy, and individual control over value. Much of the work transforms familiar monetary objects into altered artifacts that question the systems they originally represented.

"MoneyTov" combines spray paint with distressed fiat currency on canvas, while "Blank Note" reworks the language of banknote design as a polymer object incorporating ultraviolet elements and monetary symbolism. "Mask of Legion" moves into wearable sculpture, using embossed Bitcoin block data, resin, programmable LEDs, and a handcrafted wooden presentation box.

"Vespa Libertas" extends the practice into responsive sculpture. The work places a Cyber Hornet over an orange honeycomb backed by inverted dollar bills, with genesis block data incorporated into the hornet and programmable lighting linked to Bitcoin data. Rebel Money also works with traditional print processes. "Penny Orange 25 Up" uses risograph printing, traditional stamp perforation, and letterpress methods to reinterpret the visual language of historic postage. Across these works, familiar financial materials are rebuilt into objects centered on Bitcoin, monetary independence, and dissent.
