Biography

About Jake Allen

Jake Allen creates Bitcoin art through acrylic painting on canvas and artwork applied to physical objects. On X, he describes his practice as “Chicago Style Artwork” and “Bitcoin Freedom,” directly connecting his work with Bitcoin and ideas of freedom.

His 2026 painting "Smoking Shogun" is a 24 × 30 inch acrylic work on canvas depicting a skeletal cowboy in samurai armor. Allen incorporated several Bitcoin references into the composition, including a 21 million and infinity symbol on the sword and a honey badger on one of the boots. In the accompanying description, he presents the painting as a statement about those who continue through difficult circumstances and persevere, drawing a direct comparison with Bitcoin.

Jake has also carried his artwork beyond canvas. In 2026, he collaborated with guitar maker Joseph Hoffman on "Federal Ender," a custom Bitcoin guitar featuring artwork by Allen. The piece was presented in the Bitcoin Vegas 2026 auction. This work expands his physical practice from traditional acrylic painting into a functional object while retaining his focus on Bitcoin imagery.
