Biography
About Amy DiGi
Amy DiGi is a New York painter whose Bitcoin art brings contemporary Bitcoin themes into the physical language of oil painting. Her work is grounded in traditional studio practice, with an emphasis on brushwork, composition, and bitcoin references and symbolism. Rather than treating Bitcoin as a graphic motif alone, she works it into paintings that draw on a broader fine art background and a long commitment to observational and representational painting.
Amy studied at the Art Students League of New York and received an MFA in Painting from Lehman College and a BFA in Drawing and Art/Design Education from Pratt Institute. Her work has been included in the United States Coast Guard permanent collection and presented through the U.S. Department of State’s Arts in Embassies program.
Her physical Bitcoin works include, among others, "Genesis Slice", a 16 × 20 inch oil painting on canvas, and "Bullish", a 24 × 24 inch oil on canvas. Both demonstrate her use of recognizable Bitcoin symbolism within traditionally made paintings.
