Bartosz Lewicki (The Great Print) on Bitcoin Art | Bitcoin Art Podcast w/ Asanoha Ep. 7
Asanoha sits down with Bartosz Lewicki, better known as The Great Print, whose detailed Bitcoin artwork is drawn primarily with ballpoint pen. Bartosz talks about growing up between Poland and Germany, leaving art behind for years, and how finding Bitcoin eventually brought him back to drawing.
They get into the way he works, from the long hours behind each piece to his use of black, white and cadmium orange. Bartosz also talks about becoming more comfortable with his own style, why Bitcoin gave him more freedom to make the kind of work he wanted, and where some of the harder themes in his art come from.
The conversation moves into Bitcoin culture, life as an artist, and the strange tradeoff between spending money on your work and buying more Bitcoin. Bartosz gives a look around his studio and shares the piece he is working on now, a large drawing of a ship moving through rough seas during the bear market.
