Sourcing Clay with Bitcoin Artist Antonio Batzu | Movement of Art Ep. 11 w/ Yonat Vaks

Antonio also shares how ceramics entered his life almost by accident. Long before it became his work, he was experimenting with clay he found near home and firing small pieces in a household fire. That curiosity eventually led him deeper into traditional ceramics, including ways of shaping, drying, mixing, and firing clay with simple tools and locally found materials.

The conversation moves into the long history behind the craft and the knowledge that once passed quietly from one generation to the next. Antonio talks about learning from older people in Sardinia, including his grandmother, who showed him ceramic traditions connected to bread making. For him, clay carries those traces of human life with it. A fingerprint pressed into wet earth can survive the person who made it by thousands of years.
