Working under the name X3N0533D, leetspeak for “Xenoseed,” the artist creates Bitcoin art in watercolor and ink on paper. He uses a cyberpunk perspective to explore mind sovereignty, self-custody, system validation, node operation, and individual control of wealth. These ideas appear within a visual language of technology, wires, and imagined futures that was already central to his practice before Bitcoin entered the work. As he describes it, Bitcoin felt “almost like a missing piece” in the graphic direction he was already pursuing.
Individual works develop these themes in detailed paintings on paper. "The Timelocker" centers on safeguarding and preserving value, while "Orange Replicant" combines Bitcoin references with the artist’s cyberpunk imagery. In "Mind Node #1," X3N0533D connects the operation of a Bitcoin node with independent verification. "Come And Get It" focuses on memorizing a seed phrase and carrying access to wealth in memory.
Watercolor and ink remain central to the practice. X3N0533D has described these traditional materials as producing the strongest results for his work and values the direct experience of drawing and painting on paper.
