NAPLES

NAPLES creates Bitcoin art through oil painting, bringing a long-standing practice in contemporary realism and still life into subjects shaped by Bitcoin culture. Raised in the suburbs outside Chicago, he spent much of his childhood drawing and painting before developing a career centered on oil painting. His traditional practice has included still lifes, commissioned portraits, and landscapes, with works produced on board and canvas and an emphasis on close observation and carefully rendered detail.

His physical paintings have been created for galleries including Susan Powell Fine Art in Madison, Connecticut, and Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento, California. Within his Bitcoin-focused work, NAPLES has extended that same disciplined approach into imagery connected to the culture and visual language surrounding Bitcoin. CIRCULAR PEPE, a 2024 interactive physical painting, is held in the permanent collection of the Bitcoin Museum & Art Gallery. His painting 21 Million Miles From Home was also presented as part of the Generations Art Show at the Midwest Bitcoin Summit in Columbus, continuing his use of traditional painting methods within a contemporary Bitcoin context.
