About Bitcoin Cartoons
Slumberjack creates Bitcoin art under the name Bitcoin Cartoons, using hand-drawn illustration and satire to explore money, work, culture, and everyday life around Bitcoin. His numbered cartoon series is built around original drawings, with individual works sold as one-of-a-kind pieces accompanied by certificates of authenticity. The project also extends into framed prints and commissioned illustration.
Humor is central to the work, but many cartoons also address broader ideas about saving, monetary systems, and the pressures of conventional working life. "Exit the Rat Race," the 140th cartoon in the series, is Slumberjack’s largest documented work. Made with alcohol-based marker on mixed-media paper, the 32 × 40 inch artwork depicts workers moving through a repetitive system of dollar-denominated labor before discovering Bitcoin as a possible exit. Slumberjack produced it as a one-of-a-kind original without prints or copies from the numbered series.
Beyond individual cartoons, Slumberjack has also carried his illustrations into physical projects including the "Global Reserve" tabletop board game, with a limited Founders Edition accompanied by a signed cartoon print. Across these formats, Bitcoin Cartoons keeps illustration, humor, and handmade physical work at the center of the practice. Bitcointalk
