cryptograffiti creates Bitcoin art by transforming repurposed banking materials and other physical remnants of financial systems into paintings, precise collages, sculpture, and prints. He describes himself as a Bitcoin activist artist and identifies the reuse of banking materials as central to his practice. His work seeks to make complex ideas surrounding Bitcoin more accessible while questioning established financial systems through recognizable physical objects. The practice dates to 2013, when he placed street art around San Francisco using public-facing Bitcoin addresses, an early approach he later connected directly to the name cryptograffiti.

"Bank Run!" combines repurposed bank pens, bank pen ink, and the Bitcoin whitepaper, while "Proof of Keys" uses 304 bank deposit box keys and additional bank fobs mounted on wood. For "BC 3D", cryptograffiti assembled 1,844 pieces of currency, painting selected notes with acrylic to construct the finished image. "Minedala" incorporates mining components, hyperinflated banknotes, and a wood panel, while "Black Swan" uses repurposed fiat on wood.

His sculptural work also reaches into Bitcoin history. In 2025, cryptograffiti created a bronze sculpture based on the Silk Road camel logo and presented it to Ross Ulbricht at Bitcoin 2025. The work turns an image closely associated with Bitcoin’s early history into a permanent physical object.

Across his practice, cryptograffiti uses materials tied to banking, money, and Bitcoin infrastructure to create tactile works that preserve traces of the systems and histories they reference.
